Dunkirk & Bruges 3 day taster weekend
This 3 Day taster weekend is designed to give you a sense of what it means to travel abroad on two wheels. Whilst heavily planned for the cultural and historical side of touring, it also give you the ability to ease into the idea of crossing the channel and navigating the ‘wrong’ side of the road without the daunting task of travelling 100s of miles a day.

Perfect for the newbie rider or a more relaxed style of rider or for someone who wants to return home with new knowledge or a fresh perspective on the events of Dunkirk, and also the general dos and dont’s of European motorcycle touring.
Day 1
The day will commence with us meeting at either the tunnel port or the ferry port where we will greet you and kick off with an introductory brief. We will travel from Dover/ Folkestone to Calais. Once we arrive at Calais, we will ride the short journey to Dunkirk where we will visit some of the famous sites. We will also head to the Maritime Museum where you can soak in some of the history that Dunkirk has to offer.
Day 2
After checking out and breakfast we will ride into Belgium to Bruges. The ride is only 1 hour and around 50 miles. Once we arrive, we will park up in one of the underground parking lots and take a walk into town. There are many museums and things to do in Bruges. There’s a beautiful canal to walk down too.
Day 3
We will go for a breakfast as a group on Ride and then head to the Historium for group activity. Once we have finished, we will head back to the bikes and begin our journey home.

Difficulty: 2/5 (ideal for a new to Europe biker)
Mileage: Low ( This tour is a heavily culture/history based, try one of our longer and or Rider tours for a more intense trip!)
Culture: 5/5 (Amazing parts of history to be learned from this trip)

We operate a ‘2nd man drop off’ system. If you’re a seasoned rider, then you’ll know
this system well. We use it as it keeps the group moving and there’s no waiting
around for riders to catch the group up. When riding in larger groups on main roads
we like to have everyone in a more staggered formation so you’re not flicking stones
directly at the person behind you bike or their visor.
On our riding days, we can either split the group down into a faster and slower group
or we can all go out together. We will still operate the same ‘2nd man drop off system’
however, on the longer stretches of roads we will allow for riders to ‘stretch their legs’
if they so wish to. No-one overtakes the lead rider unless signaled to.
Everyone will be added to a Whats-app group so if for and reason you get split up
from the group you can let us know you are safe. You will all have the route given to
you each day and we will give you all GPX files for the riding days if you have a GPX supporting device.
You do not need to stay in the group to enjoy your riding holiday, if you prefer to go off on your own and meet up at the accommodation each night, that is absolutely fine by us…. its your holiday after all.
